Heel Pain Treatment

Struggling with Heel Pain?

Does this sound like your heel pain?

  • I get heel pain when I first get out of bed in the morning
  • The pain sometimes wears off after I’ve walked for a while
  • I get heel pain after I’ve sat down in the evening and then get up to move again
  • I thought it would go away!
  • It’s been rumbling on for over a month now
  • It feels bruised or sore when I walk longer distances

If you’ve answered yes, you’re not the only one! A large proportion of the population experiences heel pain at some point in their life. Over 80% of these cases of heel pain are caused by Plantar Fasciitis.

See Below for our 6 Step Process to Get Rid of Heel Pain!

The plantar fascia is a connective tissue that runs along the underside of your feet, originating at the heel and attaching to all of your toes. It is often damaged over a period of time, with micro trauma leading to degeneration of the tissue, most commonly underneath the heel. Hence the heel pain!

We specialise in treating this condition and don’t pull any punches. We don’t use anything in isolation – it’s all about getting you pain free and back to doing what you love as quickly as possible. However, before we start any treatment, it’s essential that we have a clear diagnosis and cause of the pain.

Our Heel Pain Treatment Process works like this:

1) A Full Biomechanics Initial Assessment

This in-depth consultation allows us to take a very comprehensive history of your symptoms, analyse the way you walk, assess your joints and pain-producing sites and figure out WHY you’ve got the pain. Please allow up to 1 hour for this.

2) Produce a Comprehensive Treatment Plan

All solutions start with a plan of how to achieve them. So this is where we discuss the causes and treatments available for YOUR individual case.

3) Bespoke Exercise Prescription

Everyone is unique, so rather than giving you a generic stretching sheet, we tailor-make your program to include stretching, strengthening and rehabilitation exercises according to the latest research and the results of your assessment. You get full video commentary and the ability to track your progress towards getting pain free!

4) Shockwave Therapy OR Injection Therapy

We’ve invested in the worlds most advanced Shockwave therapy machine, something that has sent our heel pain success rates through the roof! It has nothing to do with electrocution!!! This is now recommended as an early intervention by the latest research and gives up to 80% success in reducing pain for plantar fasciitis.

Alternatively…

Injection of a steroid can be a bit like a reset button, enabling our other treatments to be more effective

5) Custom Foot Orthoses

We invest in top quality bespoke orthoses because when we’re trying to get you better as quickly as possible, why would you go for something that’s made for 1000s of other people when your feet are unique? Not everyone needs these but they are recommended for some clients.

We use advanced 3D scanning to take a scan of your foot, which gets digitally transferred to our Orthotic Lab. These can be fitted in as little as 48 hours (subject to additional charge)!

The combination of these therapies with clear to follow instructions will help you get back to being pain free in the shortest possible time.

6) Follow Up

Don’t forget the all-important follow up. We don’t just leave you to it, we actively monitor your progress and modify your bespoke exercise program as required to ensure you’re making the improvement we expect.

Don’t visit your GP, Physio, Chiropractor, Osteopath or Reflexologist! See the Foot Specialist Podiatrists at Eclipse Foot Clinic who treat this condition on a daily basis with fantastic results!
